Development of Energy Planning Capacity in Serbia

The overall objective of the current project is to support the Republic of Serbia in reforming its energy policy by meeting EU Energy Acquis through enhanced strategic planning and support implementation of the Energy Law to monitor and report regarding the implementation of the Energy Strategy.
The specific objective will be achieved through the design and installation of an energy planning software on the base of the types of tools which are used by EU countries and EU Commission and in accordance with the structure of the energy system in Serbia. An extensive training programme is offered on the use of the model, the development of alternative scenarios for the energy sector of the country with a time horizon to 2050, the analysis of the scenario results and the production of a report on the scenario outputs and their policy implications.
